1.6A動態電池充電器/電源管理芯片
為移動消費電子產品提供電源管理半導體器件的開發商Analogictech有限公司(納斯達克: AATI)日前宣布,推出一款產品編號為AAT3670的高度集成1.6A動態電池充電器與電源管理芯片。該款高度智能型器件將一個電池充電器、限(xian)流(liu)(liu)負載(zai)開關電(dian)(dian)路及控制電(dian)(dian)路集成于(yu)一體,適用于(yu)由單塊鋰離子/聚合物電(dian)(dian)池(chi)(chi)供(gong)電(dian)(dian)的(de)(de)(de)便攜式(shi)系統(tong),并在(zai)(zai)不(bu)損害電(dian)(dian)池(chi)(chi)的(de)(de)(de)充(chong)電(dian)(dian)壽命周期(qi)以(yi)及無(wu)需添加外置負載(zai)開關的(de)(de)(de)情況(kuang)下,允許使用者(zhe)在(zai)(zai)通過一個AC適配器或(huo)USB端口(kou)給電(dian)(dian)池(chi)(chi)充(chong)電(dian)(dian)同時,運(yun)行(xing)他們的(de)(de)(de)系統(tong)。AAT3670可(ke)向電(dian)(dian)池(chi)(chi)提供(gong)盡(jin)(jin)可(ke)能(neng)最高(gao)的(de)(de)(de)充(chong)電(dian)(dian)電(dian)(dian)流(liu)(liu),從(cong)而(er)能(neng)夠讓消費者(zhe)以(yi)盡(jin)(jin)可(ke)能(neng)最短的(de)(de)(de)充(chong)電(dian)(dian)時間來完成充(chong)電(dian)(dian)。

動態供電電源
AAT3670通過(guo)在電(dian)(dian)源、電(dian)(dian)池(chi)和系(xi)(xi)統(tong)(tong)之間同時進行功率(lv)的分配管(guan)理,可(ke)為系(xi)(xi)統(tong)(tong)負載提供動態的供電(dian)(dian)電(dian)(dian)源。如果系(xi)(xi)統(tong)(tong)負載電(dian)(dian)流大于來(lai)自AC適(shi)配器或USB端口可(ke)提供的輸(shu)入電(dian)(dian)源電(dian)(dian)流,AAT3670可(ke)以從電(dian)(dian)池(chi)中供應(ying)額(e)外(wai)所需(xu)。
一個電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)壓(ya)(ya)感應電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)荷抑制回路(voltage-sensing charge reducTIon loop)對(dui)AC適配(pei)器和USB的輸(shu)入電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)壓(ya)(ya)進行(xing)監控,并且根據系統(tong)負載電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)流所需(xu)多少,對(dui)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)池的充電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)流進行(xing)阻截,從而自動防止(zhi)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)壓(ya)(ya)下跌。此(ci)功能(neng)僅(jin)通過自動調(diao)節充電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)流到某一限度就(jiu)能(neng)保持輸(shu)入源電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)壓(ya)(ya)的完整性,同時還確保了系統(tong)的連續運行(xing),并用最短(duan)的時間對(dui)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)池進行(xing)充電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)。
在重負載狀態下,芯片的內部溫度有可能升高(根據PCB的具體設計情況)。傳統的熱保護電路只是簡單地將熱源關閉。由于AAT3670可向系統提供工作電源,這樣的關閉會被認為是一個故障狀況,所以是不能被允許的。因此,AAT3670內置一個數字熱控回路,它可以測量內部晶圓片的溫度,還可以在晶圓片溫度超出極限值時,降低充電電流。由于不關閉電池充電器,此(ci)數字熱(re)控回路會根(gen)據一系列的運(yun)行狀況,將充電電流保持最大。
對使用(yong)(yong)AC適配器進行充電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)時,AAT3670所(suo)提供(gong)的電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)池充電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)流(liu)可(ke)以調到1.6A;對使用(yong)(yong)USB高電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)壓(ya)(ya)充電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian),可(ke)調到0.9A;對使用(yong)(yong)USB低電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)壓(ya)(ya)充電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian),可(ke)調到0.1A。低的“電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)池到系統”(battery-to-system)阻抗可(ke)以將功耗和(he)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)壓(ya)(ya)余量(voltage headroom)保持最小。
AAT3670可監控電池在各種故障狀態下的溫度和充電狀況,這些故障包括過電壓、短路和超溫。在故障發生時,充電器能夠(gou)自(zi)動關閉以(yi)保護充電設備、控制(zhi)系(xi)統和(he)電池(chi)。一個電池(chi)充電器(qi)的(de)計時(shi)器(qi)同樣(yang)可(ke)以(yi)在超出用(yong)戶所設置的(de)充電時(shi)長的(de)情況下終(zhong)止(zhi)充電,從而保護了電池(chi)和(he)系(xi)統。兩個狀態監控輸(shu)出引腳可(ke)通過(guo)外接的(de)LED(發光二極管(guan))來指(zhi)示電池(chi)充電狀態。
